![]() ![]() Voodoo: So far, so arrogantĪs for other characters, Lyla tried to deny an attraction towards Matt, regretting what happened between them last week. ![]() It's no wonder that Matt is seeking comfort elsewhere, most notably with none other than Julie Taylor, the coach's daughter. ![]() The scene where the cops bring her home, and she asks the clearly protective and caring Matt to not let the neighbors see her in her distraught state, was a heartbreaker. Matt's dementia-impaired grandmother also proved to be quite a burden for the young man, as she wandered out of the house one night. And more of Matt's home life was shown, as he spoke to his father, a soldier fighting in Iraq - Matt's disappointment was nicely understated, as he told his dad about Voodoo joining the team, only to have his dad say maybe that was a good idea, rather than give him the emotional support he clearly sought. Meanwhile, Jason attempted to adjust to life in rehab, where he had an obnoxious roommate that seemed to have nothing better to do than to mess with him, only to prove to be quite the motivator. That other team took things very far, vandalizing the Panther's locker room, though Coach Taylor sternly told his boys to not retaliate, but strike back by beating the other team next Friday. It was an off weak for the Panthers, who had no game, but all that was on anyone's mind was the big game the next week against a bitter rival team. Luckily, the episode picked up considerably as it progressed. ![]()
